We have been working with Knab for some time and are very satisfied with it. The app works great, the website is neat and clear. Actually, it all works as you would expect from a bank without any fuss.
And that also a very reasonable €6 per month (in the first months even only €3 per month). That immediately makes them the (?) cheapest bank in the Netherlands. Of course the German N26 is cheaper, but it is German and also very good.
What exactly do you get at Knab?
Knab is very clearly aimed at self-employed people, small entrepreneurs and private individuals. And therefore not on large companies with difficult requirements. You will notice that immediately, because it is simple and clear. You don't come across things that make you think "what should I do with them", and that is very nice.
You can create up to 5 payment accounts. Consider a separate payment account for VAT or fixed costs. So you always know there is enough money in there.
You can easily make piggy banks and give them your own name. A pot for later, to purchase new tools or to put money aside for a new computer.
What really appeals to us is that you don't pay per transaction, but you get 1000 transactions per year for free. That is more than 83 transactions per month. Luxury problem if you reach that maximum!
In addition, there are a lot of smart things, you can apply for a credit card, there is help with accounting and more. But definitely try it yourself! With that €50 gift and, as a starter, a 50% discount for a year, you have money left over to try it for a year.
